Educational buildings and establishments are, unfortunately, frequent targets of terrorism, bomb threats, rioting, and active shooter incidents. In an active shooter incident, all entryways are tempered safety glass made to break into small pieces. When a projectile hits the glass, it shatters into thousands of tiny pieces and falls to the ground. The assailant walks right through, as we've seen in so many incidents. Tex-Sun's security film/ballistic holds the glass together, making it shatter-resistant as it is attached to the frame, which makes it much more difficult for the assailant to enter the building, and as a result, this allows everyone in the building precious time to react.
